Job summary

TIC_Craft is seeking a skilled steel erector to lay out, install, assemble and position structural steel components according to blueprints and codes. You will work on industrial sites, using cranes to hoist beams and frames while verifying vertical and horizontal alignment with levels and laser tools.

Responsibilities include cutting, welding, riveting, bolting steel members and coordinating with crane operators.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior construction/industrial experience.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions, and communicate with supervision.
• Proficient with electrical, hand, and power tools and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine material locations and sizes.
• Fabricate metal parts per blueprints.
• Unloads and positions prefabricated steel units with cranes.
• Ensure alignment using plumb bobs, lasers, or levels.
• Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces.
• Assemble hoisting equipment for moving heavy materials.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities for activities.
• Inspect workers' output for compliance.
