Qualifications

• Requires physical capability and ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow instructions and management directions.
• Proficiency with electrical, hand, power, layout and measurement tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Read specifications or blueprints to determine material locations and quantities.
• Fabricate and assemble metal parts per blueprints and supervisor instructions.
• Hoist and position steel components using cranes; verify alignment with plumb bobs or levels.
• Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces using appropriate equipment; secure members for permanent connections.
• Assemble hoisting equipment and riggings to move heavy materials.
• Inspect work for compliance with contract plans and correct deficiencies.
