Job summary

Pima County JTED in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Human Resources Generalist onsite to support Benefits, HR, and Recruiting in a full-time, 12-month role with benefits. You will administer HRIS and related systems, maintain confidential personnel records, coordinate recruitment and onboarding, and help ensure compliance with federal and state laws.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in Human Resources with at least 3 years hands-on HRIS configuration/workflow development.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, CONCATENATE, and Text to Columns.
• Knowledge of applicable labor laws, payroll regulations, HR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize HRIS and related HR technology systems.
• Support HRIS implementations, data migration, testing, and post-implementation support.
• Maintain system documentation and data integrity; serve as HRIS resource for reporting and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities including job postings, background checks, and new employee orientation.
• Interpreting and explaining HR policies, benefits, laws, and regulations to employees and managers.
• Administer employee benefits programs and coordinate workers’ compensation, leaves, and unemployment claims.
