Job summary

Focus HR in Tucson, AZ, is seeking an HR Business Partner to deliver day-to-day HR guidance to client employees and managers. This onsite role in Tucson partners with internal leadership and client contacts to support HR service delivery, compliance, and productive workplaces.

Responsibilities include guiding policies, onboarding coordination, maintaining HR records, supporting performance management, and ensuring compliance with employment laws while contributing to HR projects and front-desk

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant HR experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Compliance familiarity is a plus.
• Ability to work onsite and support multiple clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an HR resource for client employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, leaves of absence, compensation, and employee relations matters.
• Support client onboarding by coordinating documentation, systems access, and policy acknowledgment.
• Handle routine HR inquiries and interpret company and client policies in alignment with applicable employment laws.
• Support performance management efforts by reinforcing timelines, procedures, and documentation best practices.
• Assist compliance initiatives by helping clients align federal, state, and local labor laws with internal policy standards.
• Revise and maintain HR policies and employee handbooks tailored to client needs.
• Maintain accurate, compliant personnel records and HR systems for multiple clients.
• Analyze and report on HR data, including turnover trends and employee engagement indicators.
• Assist in planning and coordinating HR trainings and workshops for client supervisors and employees.
• Support employee relations casework, escalating more complex issues to senior HR staff as needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• General proficiency with MS Suite, HRIS, and CRM.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work as an individual contributor while also enjoying teamwork.
• Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage influence and make sound decisions.
• Strong time management, planning, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to present information clearly to stakeholders ranging from individual employees to managers and senior leadership.
• Compliance experience is a plus.
