Job summary

Commonwealth of Virginia Careers in Richmond seeks a data liaison and HRIS support specialist to ensure security, accuracy and availability of HRIS data for agency operations. You will work with HR field operations and program management to support daily operations and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Skill in responding to customer inquiries and issues in a technical environment.
• Skill in the use of computers and software applications including MS Office product with focus on Excel and Access.
• Skill managing large data sets and integrating data from different sources and across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer liaison and support for data, reporting and HRIS systems in support of HR Division and Agency daily operations.
• Administration and Operations: Interact with other internal departments to develop partnerships; attend business meetings; assist in creating presentations; complete routine agency tasks and required training.
• Project and Change Management: Participate in statewide or divisional projects; assist in planning, documentation, and process improvements.
• Research, Analysis and Reporting: Write and maintain standard reports; develop ad hoc reports; audit data, validate calculations, and troubleshoot irregularities; support data governance and data security.
• System and Process Support: Provide HRIS system support; assist in testing, deployments, and releases; create documentation or job aids; train stakeholders.
