Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources preferred.
• Strong HRIS and benefits expertise.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic organization.
• Experience as HR Manager or Sr. Generalist in a public sector setting.
• PHR or SPHR Certification preferred.
• 8+ years of experience.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS systems (SAP/SuccessFactors, Benefits Focus, ADP).
• Excellent communication with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations of U.S. and Canada health and welfare benefit plans and ensure full compliance.
• Maintain knowledge and expertise in employee benefits services; respond to issues.
• Oversee compliance activities for non-retirement benefit plans in the U.S. and Canada.
• Communicate and train on benefit plans; coordinate with providers and systems.
• Design and test HRIS systems; ensure integrations with Payroll and IT.
• Provide escalated support for STD, LTD, and FMLA claims.
• Manage HRIS data entry and payroll backup responsibilities.
• Liaise with IT and Payroll for HRIS changes and approvals.
• Advise management on HRIS and benefits policy matters.
• Lead and mentor a local team across HRIS, benefits, and systems.
