Job summary

Iron Systems, Inc is seeking an HR Business Partner Associate to support a growing field workforce in a structured 12-month development program. You will engage with HR leadership, assist with onboarding, employee relations, HR operations, reporting and offboarding across a largely onsite operation in Pleasanton, CA.

The role requires 0–2 years of HR-related experience, a relevant degree, and strong communication skills. Experience with AI tools and HR knowledge bases is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in HR, IO psychology, labor & employment relations, organizational leadership, business admin, or related field.
• 0–2 years of HR, recruiting, operations or employee-support experience (internships/projects OK).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with sound judgment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Onsite work at the Pleasanton, CA office five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for routine employee questions on payroll, timekeeping, benefits, leave and HR policies.
• Support employee-relations intake, documentation and escalation.
• Coordinate onboarding, employee changes, transfers and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records and support HR compliance processes.
• Prepare and maintain reports on headcount, onboarding, turnover, training and other workforce metrics.
• Create employee FAQs, HR guidance and process documentation.
• Help maintain and improve the HR Knowledge Base.
• Test AI-generated HR responses for accuracy and escalation needs.
• Support HR improvement, workforce analytics and employee-experience initiatives.
