Job summary
IT Resources seeks an experienced Business Analyst to support a major HR workflow automation initiative, partnering with HR stakeholders and technical teams to modernize processes and translate requirements into actionable development work, with an emphasis on quality through testing and user acceptance.
The role requires strong business analysis, requirements engineering, workflow automation, and QA experience, serving as a bridge between business and technology throughout the project
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, finance, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, and quality assurance documentation.
- Experience with workflow automation involving HR systems or government applications.
- Proven ability to elicit requirements, perform As-Is/To-Be analysis, write functional specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and data requirements.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery, backlog management, QA testing, UAT, and Azure DevOps.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements-gathering sessions with HR subject-matter experts and translate business needs into detailed requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze current-state processes and develop future-state workflows that automate HR operations.
- Manage user stories, product and sprint backlogs, and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies using Azure DevOps.
- Analyze business data, data requirements, and application integrations to identify functional gaps and support future-state solutions.
- Develop process flows, design specifications, mockups, implementation plans, project documentation, and end-user procedures.
- Create QA strategies, test scenarios, test plans, and test cases aligned with functional requirements.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document findings, coordinate issue resolution, track enhancements, and support stakeholder acceptance of deliverables.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, application support teams, and developers throughout iterative planning and release cycles.
- Summarize complex information into clear, executive-level documentation and project communications.
