Job summary

Cogent InfoTech seeks a Business Analyst to support an HR automation initiative in Tallahassee, FL. You will gather requirements, manage backlogs, and ensure quality across development efforts with HR and OWPB.

You will translate HR intents into user stories with acceptance criteria, lead UAT cycles, and produce documentation for developers and end users. A CBAP/ISTQB background and a BU/IS/CS-related degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, and QA documentation.
• Experience in workflow automation, HR systems, or state government apps preferred.
• Ability to describe past experiences with BA tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development of project schedules, implementation plans, and documentation for HR automation releases and present to management, customers, and technical staff.
• Analyze current business processes, perform As-Is analysis, redesign To-Be processes, and automate HR workflows.
• Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate sessions with HR SMEs to elicit and prioritize requirements including data and integration needs.
• Perform data analysis to define data needs and document data requirements.
• Evaluate integrations with internal/external applications and propose future integrations.
• Manage user stories, backlog, sprint backlogs, and participate in Scrum ceremonies in Azure DevOps.
• Develop Design Specifications and mockups based on confirmed requirements.
• Lead UAT cycles, document findings, and coordinate enhancements with the project team.
