Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Human Resources / Training Support Specialist at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. The role provides HR support and manages personnel data for the Global Network Systems Branch within the DoD framework.

Responsibilities include vacancy tracking, data updates, awards, deployment training, and coordination of manpower. SECRET clearance is required; salary range is $85,000–$95,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of directly related experience; eight years in the DoD.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 12+ years total, 5 in the DoD.
• Master’s or Doctorate in a related field; 10+ years, 5 in the DoD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides HR support and customer service to military, government civilians, and contractors; maintains WebAims personnel database.
• Reviews, tracks, updates, and submits all vacancy ads for the military Vacancy Master List (VML).
• Updates duty titles, raters, positions, and other personnel data for military members.
• Reviews, maintains, and supports updates to the Unit Manning Document (UMD) for gains/losses and SAR codes.
• Reviews, updates, and tracks awards.
• Coordinates reserve man-days and long-tour orders, including funding.
• Manages deployment training for military personnel within the deployment window.
• Works with the executive officer to update duty titles, raters, positions, and other personnel data.
• Works with functionals to maximize manpower utilization and manage ongoing personnel actions.
• Represents division interests at weekly Directorate OT&E Meetings.
