Job summary

The State of Alaska is seeking a Human Resource Technician 2 to join the Learning & Development team. You will support AspireAlaska, help with help desks, and assist in training administration, performance cycles, and records management across Alaska.

We value detail-oriented, patient individuals who enjoy helping others and are ready to learn new systems. A hybrid schedule and statewide travel may be involved as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months of entry-level HR work experience equivalent to an HR Technician 1.
• High school diploma or equivalent; substitutions acceptable as described.
• One year of postsecondary education (32 semester hours) equals one year.
• Experience in recruitment, classification, employee training, payroll or benefits is relevant.

Responsibilities

• Assist with AspireAlaska and learning system tasks; respond to help desk tickets.
• Support evaluation cycles, training administration, and certificate creation.
• Manage records and office hours for Learning & Development activities.
• Work with HR consultants and managers to streamline processes.
