Job summary

Springfield Public Schools in Massachusetts is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support and advise district and school-based administration on all HR functions necessary for recruiting, hiring and retaining qualified staff. You will coordinate with the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in support of district HR related functions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 5 years experience may substitute for a degree.
1–3 years of relevant HR experience preferred.
Knowledge of HR policies, benefits, and district procedures.
Ability to manage payroll and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

Supports and advises district and school administration on HR functions for recruiting, hiring and retention.
Coordinates with colleges/universities for student teacher pre-practica and internships.
Manages substitute teacher system, onboarding and payroll tasks.
Provides weekly reports to administrators and personnel; maintains documentation and spreadsheets.
Attends meetings, trainings, and workshops; assists with district pipeline programs.
Completes related duties as assigned.
