Job summary

The Old Globe, a Tony Award–winning regional theatre in Balboa Park, San Diego, seeks an experienced Human Resources Associate for a full-time, benefited, on-site role.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will support onboarding, HRIS (Paycom), payroll coordination, benefits, LMS training, ATS, policy drafting, and employee communications to ensure compliance and a positive employee experience.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of progressive experience in Human Resources or HR operations.
• Experience working with HRIS/payroll systems (Paycom strongly preferred).
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; familiarity with LMS/ATS tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist onboarding / offboarding, employee records, and compliance docs.
• Support HRIS maintenance, payroll coordination, and benefits administration.
• Coordinate training programs and track completion via LMS.
• Maintain ATS, assist recruitment workflows, and generate reports.
• Draft and update HR policies, job descriptions, and letters.
• Respond to employee inquiries and support a positive employee experience.
