Job summary

Sycamore Services, Inc. is seeking an HR Specialist to support recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. The role covers onboarding, offboarding, payroll support, and maintaining accurate HR records.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in a multi-faceted HR function, strong knowledge of employment laws, and experience with Paylocity, Workday, or ADP. This on-site position requires excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma/G.E.D. required.
• 3-5 years’ experience within a multi-faceted HR department.
• Experience with HRIS systems such as Paylocity, Workday, ADP or similar platform.
• Strong knowledge of local, state and federal personnel laws.
• Experience servicing multiple remote locations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with recruitment and staffing activities, including posting openings, screenings, and offer letters.
• Supports employee relations, inquiries, and disciplinary processes to maintain a positive work environment.
• Assists with benefits administration and compensation programs in compliance with laws.
• Helps coordinate onboarding/offboarding and training efforts.
• Maintains HRIS data, generates reports, and supports payroll processes.
• Ensures records compliance and conducts regular file audits.
• Assists with compliance and documentation related to unemployment claims.
• Creates and updates HR forms, spreadsheets, and departmental tools.
