Job summary

The Resort at Summerlin in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an HR Specialist to perform a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, associate engagement, compliance, auditing and reporting.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and adherence to company standards. Public speaking is a key component as you will engage diverse audiences and support benefits and training programs.

Qualifications

• HR experience, including associate engagement and public speaking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and work with diverse groups.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance standards, and benefits regulations.
• Proficient in HRIS and ATS; proficient in Microsoft 365 including PowerPoint and Excel; LMS experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Execute HR tasks in compliance with internal policies and laws; elevate issues as needed.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training programs.
• Present and manage New Hire Orientation from start to finish.
• Support associate engagement initiatives, including recognition programs and events.
• Assist with employee benefits programs and annual open enrollment processes.
• Maintain accurate records in HRIS; prepare reports and assist audits.
• Communicate effectively with associates, management, and external parties; deliver high-quality service.
• Deliver engaging presentations and training programs using effective public speaking techniques.
• Prepare training materials and schedules for orientation and learning sessions.
• Utilize PowerPoint and Excel for reporting and training data; track attendance and records.
