Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years hands-on HR experience.
• Knowledge of core HR functions such as onboarding, records, compliance, and administration.
• Familiarity with federal and New York State employment laws.
• Ability to follow established procedures and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong organization, detail orientation, and multi-tasking.
• Professional communication and discretion with sensitive information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS tools.

Responsibilities

• Support daily HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, changes, and record management.
• Maintain accurate personnel files, HRIS records, and documentation.
• Follow HR policies and workflows to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Apply knowledge of federal and NYS employment laws to HR activities.
• Identify cases needing review and escalate when needed.
• Assist with employee relations, documentation, and deadlines.
• Track certifications, licenses, training, and compliance timelines.
• Support benefits administration and leave processes.
• Coordinate with payroll for accurate processing of employee changes.
