A leading educational institution is seeking an Administrative Support professional for the human resources department. This role involves providing specialized administrative support, maintaining confidential records, assisting with employee benefits, and facilitating onboarding processes. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, along with experience in administrative roles. High School Diploma, or G.E.D. and at least three years of
administrative secretarial experience in word processing and related software. Excellent organization and communication skills and the ability to maintain efficient and accurate work.

JOB GOAL:
Perform specialized administrative support for the human resources department and other activities of the district, including employee benefits, and onboarding/offboarding.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to the Professional Code of Ethics as established by the Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB).
Supports the district's vision and mission in a clear and concise way that is understood at any level.
Supports the human resource department to work towards the goals of the strategic leadership plan, particularly as they relate to human resources.
Assumes responsibility for own professional growth and development; keeping current with literature, and attends professional meetings, workshops, and seminars as they relate to performance responsibilities.
Performs a variety of skilled technical duties and maintains a working knowledge of current software programs.
Maintains a variety of records, files including information of a confidential nature; maintain confidentiality of information and records, and maintains multiple databases.
Prepares correspondence as directed utilizing word processing and other software as required.
Supports onboarding and training for new hires.
Assists with entry of new employee information into the state and cafeteria plan benefit websites working with the Section 125 vendor partner.
Assists employees with benefit issues to ensure they get appropriate support and answers.
Assists with updating benefit deductions through payroll.
Supports the annual open enrollment process, including counseling employees, assisting employees with enrollments and changes, and processing enrollment and changes.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.
Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull weights up to thirty (30) pounds.
