Russell Tobin is seeking an HR Specialist in Baxter, MN to drive local candidate attraction and community engagement. You will visit community partners, distribute materials, and support referral programs while following a defined playbook.

The role requires a high school diploma, commuting distance to Baxter, and the ability to travel within the local market. A 32-hour weekly schedule may include some weekends, early mornings, or evenings.

Qualifications

• Reliable personal transportation for travel within the local market.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment following a defined playbook.
• Flexible 32-hour weekly schedule, including some weekends, early mornings or evenings.
• Experience in field outreach, canvassing, community engagement, grassroots marketing, event support, staffing, recruiting, or workforce development is preferred.

• Provide weekly activity reports documenting execution status and market observations.
• Serve as a Referral Ambassador for the site and engage associates about referral programs.
• Coordinate with community partners for material drop-offs and relationship maintenance.

Pay Rate Range: $23-24/hour

Our client, a leading e-commerce and technology company, is looking to hire an HR Specialist in Baxter, MN.

Responsibilities

• Execute weekly in-market candidate attraction activities following a provided playbook
• Visit community partner locations to maintain and replenish hiring materials, including flyers, posters, and QR codes
• Distribute referral program materials and engage associates about referral opportunities
• Attend and support local hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach activities
• Conduct grassroots canvassing, including local business outreach and posting materials in high-traffic community locations
• Collect and report local market observations, including competitor activity, community feedback, and transportation barriers
• Maintain accurate tracking logs of field activities, locations visited, materials distributed, and interactions conducted
• Provide weekly activity reports documenting execution status and market observations
• Serve as a Referral Ambassador for the assigned site and engage associates about referral programs
• Coordinate with community partners for material drop-offs and relationship-maintenance activities as directed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must live in or within a commutable distance of the assigned market
• Reliable personal transportation for travel throughout the local market area
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment while following established processes and a defined playbook
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable engaging with community members, local businesses, and employees
• Availability to work a flexible 32-hour weekly schedule, including some weekends, early mornings, or evenings based on business needs
• Previous experience in field outreach, canvassing, community engagement, grassroots marketing, event support, staffing, recruiting, or workforce development is preferred
