Qualifications

  • Supports onboarding and offboarding processes for employees and applicants.

  • Acts as primary contact for new hires and coordinates background checks and new-hire paperwork.
  • Assists with audits, compliance reviews, and reporting.

Job description

Position Overview- On-Site Position

The Human Resources Representative supports a variety of human resources initiatives and serves as the primary contact for employees and applicants throughout the onboarding and offboarding process. Additionally, the Human Resources Representative works to ensure data integrity and accuracy across various systems and files.

Essential Functions
  • Performs optimal level of customer service by answering employee requests and questions
  • Creates and maintains accurate employee records, as well as gather all related documentation required
  • Actively maintains the HRIS database and personnel files to ensure accuracy of records
  • Primary contact for new hires throughout the onboarding process
    • Extends offer of employment
    • Prepares new employee files and new hire training materials
    • Completion of background checks and pre-employment drug screens
    • Verifies I-9 documents
    • Processes new hire paperwork
    • Conducts new hire orientation
    • Completes stay interviews
  • Supports employees offboarding process
    • Assists with processing of terminations
    • Ensures appropriate paperwork is submitted and processed
    • Conducts exit interviews
    • May review and respond to unemployment claims
  • Active participant in the employee wellness and safety committees
  • May assist in coaching and counseling, along with management team, on employee corrective actions
  • Maintains all employee records and/or digital scanning of those records
  • Ensures that all records are filed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and other mandatory reports
  • Works on other HR projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned or required
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 1 to 3 years of Human Resources experience in a professional, customer service-focused environment
  • Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions and dependable transportation
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
  • Experience with HRIS systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers
  • Ability to exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters
