MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional education or coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Two years of progressively responsible administrative, customer service, or human resources experience preferred, with HR experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, or other employee lifecycle processes preferred.
- Experience administering an HRIS or database system preferred; UKG Ready experience a plus.
- Work experience in a retail environment preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Recruitment and Selection
- Owns and administers full-cycle recruitment processes.
- Partners with supervisors to establish recruitment needs, timelines, interview processes, and selection documentation.
- Develops and maintains job postings, recruitment materials, and coordinates advertising.
- Screens candidates and coordinates interviews, reference checks, background checks, and other pre-employment requirements.
- Maintains timely communication with all involved throughout the recruitment process, coordinating next steps and keeping hiring processes moving on schedule.
- Tracks recruitment activity and supports staffing and time-to-fill reporting.
- Identifies opportunities to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience.
Employee Lifecycle
- Administers employee onboarding from offer acceptance through completion.
- Coordinates employee orientation, required documentation, training, benefits, timekeeping, and other onboarding activities.
- Administers employee status and job changes, ensuring related HRIS, payroll, and personnel records are updated accurately and timely.
- Coordinates employee offboarding processes from notice through completion.
- Ensures required documentation, HRIS updates, final pay coordination, benefits notifications, personnel records, and other offboarding requirements are completed timely.
- Coordinates exit processes and communicates applicable next steps and information to departing employees.
- Maintains accurate records of completed offboarding activities and follows up on outstanding items.
HRIS and Records Administration
- Maintains accurate employee information, personnel records, and documentation.
- Processes routine HRIS transactions and employee changes and resolves routine discrepancies.
- Maintains electronic employee documentation and generates routine HR reports.
- Researches routine HRIS questions and escalates technical or configuration issues as appropriate.
Employee and Supervisor Support
- Provides support regarding established HR processes and policies.
- Supports performance management and performance evaluation processes, including tracking deadlines and maintaining documentation.
- Assists with routine employee relations matters and documentation, escalating complex or sensitive matters to the Human Resources Manager.
HR Program Support
- Provides administrative support for benefits, leave, accommodations, safety, workers’ compensation, training, and other HR programs.
- Coordinates assigned communications, documentation, tracking, scheduling, and follow-up for HR programs and employee activities.
- Assists with employee engagement activities, staff surveys, and other employee feedback opportunities.
- Supports maintenance of HR resources, forms, and employee communications.
HR Compliance and General Support
- Develops familiarity with HR policies, procedures, and available resources and, as proficiency grows, serves as an initial point of contact for routine employee and supervisor HR questions.
- Escalates questions or matters requiring additional guidance, interpretation, or judgment to the Human Resources Manager as appropriate.
- Maintains confidentiality and supports HR audits, reporting, compliance activities, and accurate records.
- Identifies discrepancies, process gaps, and opportunities to improve HR processes and brings recommendations to the Human Resources Manager.
- Supports HR projects and other departmental responsibilities as assigned.
