Job summary

Simon Group Holdings is seeking an HR Generalist to independently manage routine HR processes with moderate complexity. The role covers onboarding, benefits administration, payroll preparation, employee relations inquiries, and HR data reporting.

You will ensure compliance with HR policies and employment laws while delivering a high-quality team member experience. A bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and 2–4 years of HR experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a positive onboarding experience and assist with I-9 documentation.
  • Support benefits administration and enrollment changes.
  • Maintain personnel files per federal/state regulations.
  • Implement HR policies and process improvements for compliance.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring strategies and interviews.
  • Process payroll bi-weekly with accuracy in timesheets and deductions.
  • Maintain payroll records for new hires, status changes, and terminations.
  • Coordinate with benefits administrators on deductions for benefits and leaves.
  • Conduct routine HR data audits and ensure records are up to standards.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives.

Job description

Provides comprehensive HR support and is responsible for independently managing routine HR processes with moderate complexity. This role supports benefit administration, leave management, onboarding and offboarding, payroll preparation, employee relations inquiries, and HR data reporting. This role ensures compliance with HR policies and employment laws while delivering a high-quality team member experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Ensure a positive new hire experience through onboarding and orientation activities such as assist with new hire paperwork and I-9 documentation
  • Support with benefits administration ensuring that new hire enrollments are completed, change of elections are updated with the vendor system ensuring compliance
  • Maintain personnel files in accordance with federal and state regulations
  • Implementation of HR policies and process improvements ensuring accurate HR documentation and compliance with policies and regulatory standards
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring strategies and participate in candidate interviews
  • Monitor and process payroll on a bi-weekly schedule, which includes reviewing timesheets, hours worked, taxes, insurance, and team member information in connection with time management and administration accuracy
  • Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, status changes, and pay adjustments
  • Coordinate with benefits administrators to ensure correct deductions for benefits, leaves, garnishments, and retirement plans
  • Conducts routine audits of HR data to ensure records are maintained and handled to the required standards
  • Participates in HR projects/ initiatives
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or a job-related field
  • Knowledge and skills typically acquired through 2-4 years of HR experience
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Corporate office /desk environment
Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
