Job summary

The Center for Global Sustainability (CGS) at the University of Maryland seeks an HR & Payroll Coordinator to support HR and payroll operations, including Workday transactions, onboarding, and records maintenance. This role partners with CGS leadership and central offices to ensure accurate personnel data and compliant processes.

Responsibilities cover HR transactions, payroll processing, timekeeping, reporting, and audits, with emphasis on accuracy, deadlines, and collaboration across campus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• One year of professional human resources or payroll experience.
• Additional work experience may be substituted for education.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and process HR transactions in Workday including hires, job changes, end job actions, and additional pay entries.
• Assist with offer letters, faculty contracts, student appointment documentation, and other employment records.
• Maintain personnel documentation and ensure employee records are complete and properly maintained.
