Job summary

Midland College in Midland, Texas, seeks a Human Resources and Payroll Generalist to support daily HR and payroll operations, maintain personnel and position records, process personnel actions, and ensure HRIS data accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR, business, accounting, finance, or related field.
• Three years of HR/payroll/position administration experience can substitute education.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools required.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain personnel action forms and payroll records in HRIS.
• Enter, update, and maintain employee information including hires, transfers, promotions, and separations.
• Manage position control within HRIS and ensure data accuracy.
• Review data for discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Create and distribute HR and payroll reports (staffing, position, compliance).
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR, payroll, and transactions.
• Assist with audits, process improvements, and system testing.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
