Qualifications

• 2+ years in HR, payroll, benefits, or related administration.
• Payroll processing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, 401(k), garnishments, EDD forms, I-9 audits, and benefits invoicing.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Experience with HRIS or payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for confidential employees, including payroll tax payments, 401(k) contributions, garnishments, and EDD documentation.
• Support benefits administration by reviewing monthly health insurance invoices and assisting with employee leave tracking, including FMLA.
• Maintain HR compliance records, including Form I-9 documentation, quarterly I-9 audits, employment verifications, and employee files.
• Coordinate onboarding activities, prepare offer letters, collect new-hire documentation, and assist with interview scheduling.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records while supporting HR projects, administrative needs, and compliance-related activities.
• Prioritize deadlines, follow up on pending items, and ensure sensitive employee information is handled with professionalism and discretion.
