Job summary

Fundamental is seeking an on-site Human Resources / Payroll Coordinator in Maryland to support payroll processing and HR functions for facility staff. The role reports to the Administrator and focuses on accurate payroll, background checks, and staffing coordination to maintain optimal coverage.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in HR/payroll within long-term care, KRONOS experience, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HR/payroll coordinator experience, preferably in long-term care.
• At least 1 year in recruitment/retention is preferred but not required.
• Must read/write/speak English proficiently and act professionally.
• Familiar with KRONOS payroll system and related compliance.
• Reliable transportation to fulfill on-site duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare payroll documentation accurately and timely.
• Conduct pre-employment background and license verifications.
• Coordinate staffing to ensure adequate coverage and retention locally.
• Assist with new employee orientation and explain policies.
• Maintain timely personnel and electronic files.
• Analyze local wage trends and conduct wage surveys.
