Job summary

Calhoun Convalescent Center is seeking a Human Resources / Payroll Coordinator to support HR and payroll for facility employees under the Administrator. The role includes processing payroll, conducting background checks, coordinating recruitment, and supporting orientation and staff development.

Qualifications include 2+ years in a similar role in long-term care, Kronos payroll experience, and strong English communication. The position offers a competitive wage and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as HR/Payroll Coordinator in a long term care environment preferred.
• 1+ years of experience with recruitment and retention preferred, but not required.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with all types of personnel.
• Knowledge of employment, wage/hour, labor relations regulations and guidelines.
• KRONOS payroll experience required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all required documentation to process payroll timely and accurately.
• Perform required pre-employment background checks and license/certification verifications.
• Coordinate recruiting/staffing to ensure adequate staffing and retention using local resources.
• Support orientation by explaining policies, payroll, and regulations to staff.
• Maintain timely personnel and electronic files.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team on recruiting and compensation trends; conduct wage surveys.
