Job summary

ProStaff Workforce Solutions is seeking an HR/Payroll Coordinator for our Princeton, New Jersey team. This role serves as the point of contact for HR functional areas and supports US payroll data processing, reporting, and records management.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent experience, 4+ years in HR, and HRIS/Microsoft Office proficiency. A hybrid schedule is available after training completion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a similar HR role.
  • SHRM-CP or HRIC-PHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily workforce services inboxes and respond to employee questions.
  • Assist in payroll data preparation, maintenance, and auditing for bi-weekly payroll.
  • Maintain employee records in HRIS with data integrity and security.
  • Create and maintain reports for internal and external requests.
  • Support payroll change verification and processing.

Contract Pay Rate: DoE. Hybrid schedule available upon successful completion of training.

Job Summary:

This position serves as a point-of-contact for HR functional areas and HRBP's supporting US population. Associate responds to employee population related to the preparation, maintenance, processing, and auditing of manual and automated payroll data, information, and accuracy and completeness of employee records and payroll related activities and reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor daily workforce services help inboxes and respond to employee questions
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of records and reports related to payroll, employee information, time sheets, benefits, salaries, leave, taxes, deductions, payments and other assigned duties related to bi-weekly payroll process
  • Maintain employee and department records and employment files ensuring data integrity of Human Capital Management HR system and how the various modules within HRIS system are impacted by changes including but not limited to: Job information, Reporting, Business Processes, and security
  • Create and maintain custom reports for internal and external requests
  • Participate in the review, verification, auditing and processing of payroll change requests.
  • Participate in payroll support functions; calculate, review, verify and post a variety of payroll data such as gross pay, retirement, contract adjustments, retroactive payments, hours, tax information and leave
  • Duties include assisting with end-user support issues, impact analysis and planning for proposed new system releases and supporting user acceptance testing for new modules or region rollouts. Understand, manage and aid in navigation and support of integrated employee systems.
  • Coordinate auditing, record-keeping and reporting functions to ensure proper application, calculation and reporting of payroll data, benefits and taxes
  • Input Compensation changes after verifying proper authorizing signatures, coding and accuracy of payroll adjustments
  • Perform other administrative assignments as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/similar program or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in similar HR role.
  • SHRM-CP or HRIC-PHR certification preferred.
  • Experience with payroll admin, payroll law and compliance, a plus
  • Demonstrated competency using Microsoft Office; experience with an HRIS system.
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task among competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with employment law and regulations and knowledge of HR concepts and practices.
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment at varying levels within the organization.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with complete discretion.
  • Acts in an ethical and compliant manner and requires others to do the same.
