Senior Payroll Analyst, Hybrid, Princeton (BH-382782-1)

Location: Piscataway, United States
Sector: Financial Services
Salary: $28-35 per hour

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Senior Payroll Analyst role with our client in the entertainment industry located in Princeton, NJ.
• 6-months (with the possibility of extension)
• Pay Rate: $35.71/hr. (Could be overtime on Thursdays before payroll, time and a half)
• Hybrid - 3 days onsite

Overview:

Limited payroll processing (such as only collection of data). Not involved in the total start to finish payroll process. Need not apply.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Develop full understanding of the inputs and outputs of payroll cycles
2. Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, analyzing and entering data utilizing the UKG Pro payroll system in accordance with policy and procedures
3. 401k Reconciliation / Funding
4. Equity Vesting
5. Relocation Processing
6. Effectively manage entire General Ledger processing, reconciliation and SAP interface
7. Reporting to Finance / Accounting
8. Audit / SOX Compliance
9. Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Reporting
10. Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures and have knowledge of what data and calculations are required in assigned areas
11. Ensure complete, accurate and timely processing of information
12. Collaborate with payroll colleagues as well as other business areas, including Human Resources, Benefits, Compensation, Finance and Technology
13. Year End W-2 processing
14. Balance sheet account reconciliation support
15. Provide analysis and reporting as required and assigned by management
16. Provide customer service by responding to employee questions and requests

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years payroll experience
2. UKG/Ultipro experience is a plus but not required
3. Strong accounting knowledge; Reconciliations, Journal Entries
4. Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
5. Strong analytical skills; Solve unique, complex problems; Make basic decisions, escalating items where applicable
6. Communicate clearly and effectively
7. Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel
8. Detail oriented, organized, accountable for accuracy and meeting deadlines
9. Must be a team player to blend individual tasks / processes to achieve group objectives
10. Experience with multi-state and Canadian payroll compliance
11. Experience with state and local tax registration and reconciliation
