Job summary

The Town of Apex is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to provide advanced HR support across benefits, leave administration, employee relations, onboarding, and more at 73 Hunter Street, Apex, NC.

This role serves as the primary HR contact for departments, guides HR programs, and collaborates with department leaders to meet business goals while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Public Administration or related field with 3+ years of HR administration experience.
• Experience as an HR Business Partner, Generalist, or Consultant in a multi-department environment.
• Experience with HR programs, benefits, leave administration, onboarding, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary HR contact for assigned departments, guiding HR programs, processes and policies.
• Establishes relationships with department leaders to support department goals with HR services.
• Advises on HR processes including position classification, hiring, performance management and pay policies.
• Builds relationships through regular department visits and proactive HR support.
