Job summary

loanDepot is seeking an HR Operations Coordinator for a hybrid role based in Irvine, CA (two days per week in office) or Chandler, AZ. You will support the employee lifecycle, HR records, data retention, audits, and cross-functional HR activities across HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT, Legal, and Records Management.

You will handle routine inquiries, maintain confidential records, assist with HR reporting, and help ensure adherence to policies and retention rules while coordinating with HR technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR, business, or information systems.
• 1+ year in HR operations, coordination, HRIS support, records admin, or compliance support.
• Experience supporting audits or regulatory remediation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor employee lifecycle transactions and changes in Workday.
• Review requests for completeness and approvals before processing or escalation.
• Respond to routine employee and leader inquiries via HRConnect and other channels.
• Maintain confidential personnel records and audit-ready documentation.
• Support HR reporting, audits, and data-quality reviews; coordinate corrections.
• Assist with HR programs such as performance, compensation, and labor-law postings.
• Collaborate with HR Technology and IT to troubleshoot system/workflow issues.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and management reporting.
• Suggest improvements to improve accuracy, timeliness, and employee experience.
• Support MRA-related data classification, retention, and deletion activities.
