Job summary

BeaconFire Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support recruitment, training, performance management, employee relations, and payroll-related tasks.

The role requires the ability to relate to individuals at all levels and to balance business needs with employee goodwill. Responsibilities include administering HR plans, coordinating onboarding, managing benefits, maintaining HRIS, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in HR management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and professional demeanor.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Experience with HR processes and payroll/benefits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administers HR plans and procedures; maintains the employee handbook and policy manual.
• Supports recruitment/onsite onboarding; writes and places job advertisements.
• Assists in compensation, timesheet tracking, and performance evaluations.
• Manages benefits administration, open enrollment, and communication of benefits.
• Maintains HRIS records and ensures data privacy and compliance with laws.
