Job summary

Prairie Field Services seeks an HR Operations Manager to lead HR infrastructure with a focus on automation, AI adoption, and audit-ready records across attendance, payroll, and DQ files. You will direct recruiting and retention efforts, plus social media and marketing initiatives, reporting to the COO.

You will manage vendor relationships for benefits and 401(k), oversee onboarding, and drive education and engagement in benefit programs while ensuring compliance and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR or business.
• 5+ years HR experience in safety/compliance-driven industry preferred.
• Experience leveraging AI in HR processes and automation.
• Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA Driver Qualification file requirements.
• Experience leading full-cycle recruiting, especially for drivers or field staff.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, implement, and scale AI and automation across HR functions to improve speed and accuracy.
• Automate attendance tracking and enforce attendance policy.
• Improve payroll processes with finance, ensuring accuracy and auditability.
• Manage and ensure compliance of Driver Qualification (DQ) files with FMCSA/DOT rules.
• Direct and evaluate the Talent Acquisition/Marketing Specialist and recruiting efforts.
• Lead companywide recruiting and retention strategies for drivers and staff.
• Oversee social media and marketing initiatives and company events.
• Oversee branded merchandise programs and vendor relationships; manage onboarding orientation.
