Job summary

Prairie Field Services in Casper, Wyoming, is seeking a Human Resources Operations Manager to modernize HR systems, automate attendance, payroll, and Driver Qualification records, and lead talent acquisition efforts.

You will supervise the Talent Acquisition/Marketing Specialist, drive recruiting and retention across the field staff, manage vendor relationships, and ensure audit-ready HR processes aligned with company values and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience; trucking/oilfield industry preferred
• Experience leveraging AI, HRIS, payroll, or automation platforms to modernize HR operations
• Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA Driver Qualification file requirements
• Experience leading full-cycle recruiting for drivers or field staff
• Knowledge of ADA, FMLA, and short/long term disability case management
• Experience managing vendor relationships (benefits brokers, 401(k) providers)
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Prior supervisory experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Windows and MS Office; adopt AI tools
• Willingness to travel to locations across WY, ND, MT, NM

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/automation across HR functions to boost speed and accuracy
• Automate attendance tracking and policy enforcement
• Automate payroll processing with finance team for accuracy
• Manage Driver Qualification (DQ) records for FMCSA/DOT compliance
• Supervise Talent Acquisition/Marketing Specialist and recruitment
• Drive companywide recruiting and retention strategies
• Oversee social media and marketing initiatives
• Oversee branded merchandise program
• Oversee new hire orientation
• Manage disability cases from initiation to resolution
• Maintain benefits and 401(k) vendor relationships
• Ensure audit-ready HR recordkeeping
• Report HR metrics to COO/leadership
• Align HR initiatives with Prairie Field Services’ mission and values
