Job summary

Prairie Field Services is seeking an HR Operations Manager to modernize and tightly manage core HR systems, including attendance, payroll, and DQ files, using AI and automation. You will lead recruiting, vendor relationships, and benefits programs while reporting to the COO to align HR with company strategy.

The role requires 5+ years of HR experience, a bachelor’s degree, and the ability to travel regionally. A strong focus on accuracy and compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in safety/compliance.
• Experience leveraging AI, HRIS, payroll, or automation to modernize HR.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/automation initiatives across HR functions to improve speed and accuracy.
• Automate attendance tracking and enforcement policies.
• Oversee payroll automation with finance for accuracy and auditability.
• Manage Driver Qualification files to meet FMCSA/DOT requirements.
• Direct Talent Acquisition/Marketing Specialist and drive recruiting strategy.
• Lead benefits and 401(k) vendor relationships and education programs.
• Report HR metrics to COO and leadership; ensure audit-ready records.
