Job summary

Old Colony Elder Services, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Generalist - Operations to support daily HR administration, HRIS, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and benefits. The role also backs up payroll processing and handles employee relations in a growing organization.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in HR and 3+ years of HR/Payroll experience, with strong knowledge of employment laws, confidentiality, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required.
• 3+ years HR/Payroll experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HR laws and compliance.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR operational support and ensure policy compliance.
• Serve as backup to Payroll Specialist and assist with payroll processing.
• Support benefits administration, workers' compensation, and 401(k).
• Maintain HRIS data and personnel records accurately.
• Monitor compliance and conduct file audits as needed.
• Support leave administration, attendance, and return-to-work processes.
• Assist with employee relations investigations and documentation.
• Prepare HR reports and support departmental projects.
• Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and separations.
