Michigan State University Human Resources invites applications for the Assistant Director of HR Employment Operations and Compliance. This role leads managers across multiple employment functions, translating strategic direction into operational plans and service standards to deliver high-quality, timely HR services.

Based in East Lansing with hybrid work options, the position manages applicant tracking (PageUp), HRIS (EBS), data integrity, and policy implementation.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in HR Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of related and progressively responsible work experience in records management, projects, and systems.
• Experience with mainframe and PC-based systems and software; employment law and record retention knowledge.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and implement process improvements.

Responsabilités

• Lead managers and supervisors across multiple HR functions, aligning priorities and accountability.
• Oversee employment operations, including academic appointments, hiring, separations, and student and temporary staff.
• Direct daily operations with service standards, escalation procedures, and cross-functional practices.
• Oversee PageUp applicant tracking and HRIS (EBS) system priorities and enhancements.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and service optimization within governance direction.
