Job summary

Neumo is seeking an HR Coordinator in Centreville, VA, to serve as the operational backbone of the People team. You will ensure accurate HRIS data, manage benefits and leave administration, and drive onboarding/offboarding processes with precision and compliance.

The role collaborates with HRBPs and third parties to maintain timely, accurate data and clean payroll cutoffs. The position emphasizes governance, data integrity, and easy access to benefits information, with a focus on SOC 2 controls

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of HR operations, benefits, or HRIS experience.
• Hands-on familiarity with I-9 and E-Verify.
• Familiarity with ACA reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of FMLA/leave processes coordinated with the leave vendor.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day HRIS data entry and employee record changes.
• Administers benefits enrollment, life events, and COBRA coordination.
• Supports annual open enrollment and reconciles carrier invoices.
• Handles leave-of-absence requests and coordinates with the leave vendor and HRBPs.
• Manages onboarding and offboarding workflows and payroll coordination.
• Maintains SOC 2 Type II HR-controls evidence and audit readiness.
• Owns Form I-9 and E-Verify compliance and related audits.
• Maintains annual HR compliance calendar and necessary filings.
• Executes multi-state employment compliance and training tracking.
• Keeps personnel files compliant with HIPAA/ADA and data retention.
