Job summary

University of Illinois Foundation seeks a Coordinator, Human Resources to support onboarding for new employees and student workers, run orientation events, and keep accurate HR records. You will partner with IT for accounts setup, oversee student hiring, and maintain HR content across platforms.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, collaboration, and adherence to policy, with a hybrid in-office/remote schedule supported by a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of HR experience.
• Ability to act independently with good judgment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and student workers.
• Coordinate new hire orientation events and trainings.
• Oversee student hiring and onboarding in student information systems.
• Collect and enter onboarding data across internal/external systems; manage offboarding.
• Create and maintain employee records and onboarding materials.
• Compile HR reports from HRIS and other sources for various audiences.
• Serve on the Staff Engagement Committee.
• Collaborate with the HR operations team to ensure compliant, high-quality service.
