Job summary

Jobot, based in New York, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to serve as the primary HR contact for our New York office, covering employee relations, performance management, training, policy implementation, and local compliance in an apparel company.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HR experience, a Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business, and SHRM/HRCI certification preferred. We offer medical, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and generous PTO, plus clothing discounts and transit benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HR experience, ideally in an HR Manager or Senior Generalist role.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, NY employment laws (and NJ beneficial).

Responsibilities

• Employee Relations: handle complex issues, investigations, guidance to managers and employees on performance and disciplinary matters.
• Performance Management: support reviews, goal setting, and development planning.
• Policy & Compliance: apply policies and stay current with laws to ensure compliance and reduce risk.
• Recruitment & Onboarding: support local hiring and oversee onboarding for New York hires.
• Training & Development: identify needs and deliver training programs, including compliance.
• HR Administration: manage day-to-day HR operations, records, reporting, and data integrity.
