Qualifications

• 8+ years of HR experience including team leadership.
• Broad HR knowledge incl. employee relations, performance management, recruiting.
• Strong leadership, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to build trust and work effectively with employees, managers, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HR function and manage the HR team, including the HR Specialist and Payroll & Benefits Coordinator.
• Partner with managers and leadership on staffing, performance, employee development, and workplace issues.
• Oversee talent acquisition and onboarding with department leaders to identify hiring needs.
• Drive performance management and coaching to address performance issues and develop teams.
• Manage employee relations with sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, and HR policies to ensure competitive programs and legal compliance.
• Strengthen culture and engagement to reflect Free Country values and accountability.
• Improve HR systems and reporting to streamline workflows and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
