Job summary

A&A Safety Inc. in Greater Cincinnati, OH is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead day-to-day HR for our family-owned highway subcontractor.

This on-site, full-time role covers recruiting, benefits, safety, compliance and training across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, with monthly travel.

You will coach supervisors, manage payroll and HRIS data, and help attract, develop and retain a skilled workforce through seasonal ramps.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressively responsible HR experience, including at least 3 years as an HR Manager.
• Hands-on experience across recruiting, employee relations, benefits, workers' comp, unemployment, training, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA and other federal and state rules.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day HR for a family-owned subcontractor across OH/KY/IN.
• Recruit and onboard employees; manage benefits and claims.
• Coach supervisors and coordinate training; ensure compliance.
• Oversee safety, workers' comp, unemployment, and payroll processes.
• Maintain HRIS and payroll data; prepare reports.
