CRST The Transportation Solution, Inc. in Fort Wayne is seeking an HR Manager to lead recruiting for the Specialized Solutions unit and serve as the onsite HR partner for the Fort Wayne operation.

You will build candidate pipelines, partner with leaders on workforce needs, and guide day-to-day HR matters to deliver a positive employee experience. This hands-on role emphasizes full-cycle recruiting, HR policy interpretation, and improvement of hiring and onboarding processes while upholding

• Demonstrated success independently managing full-cycle recruiting across multiple job types or business areas.
• Experience addressing employee concerns, supporting investigations, advising leaders, and applying HR policies.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters, evaluate risk, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with candidates, employees, leaders, and HR partners.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting from intake through offer and onboarding support.
• Partner with leaders on sourcing strategies, hiring plans, candidate selection, and workforce needs.
• Build talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.
• Create a positive candidate experience through clear communication and timely follow-up.
• Serve as the onsite HR point of contact for employee and leader questions and day-to-day HR support.
• Address employee concerns, support investigations, and guide leaders through performance, documentation, corrective action, and workplace issues.
• Interpret HR policies, identify risk, and elevate sensitive matters when appropriate.
• Partner with centralized HR teams on benefits, compensation, payroll, leave administration, and HR systems.
• Review workforce trends and recommend practical actions to improve hiring, retention, and employee experience.
• Identify and implement improvements to recruiting, onboarding, communication, and HR service delivery processes.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys recruiting and wants to play a direct role in building the team behind a business. You'll lead recruiting efforts across the Specialized Solutions operation, partnering with leaders to identify workforce needs, build candidate pipelines, and hire the talent needed to support the business.

While most of your focus will be on recruiting, you'll also serve as the primary onsite HR resource for the Fort Wayne operation, helping leaders and employees navigate day-to-day HR matters and ensuring a positive employee experience. This is a hands-on individual contributor role that is highly visible, with the opportunity to influence hiring decisions, workforce planning, and how Specialized Solutions builds its team.
