Job summary

Freedom Graphic Systems, a leading printer and direct mailer, seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR for permanent and temporary staff. You will drive recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compensation programs across a manufacturing environment.

You will ensure legal compliance, develop HR policies, and partner with staffing agencies to optimize the temp workforce while coaching managers on people strategies and organizational development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; master’s or HR certification preferred.
• 5–7 years progressive HR experience; 2–3 years in a management role.
• Experience in manufacturing or production HR; familiarity with printing/direct mail helpful.
• Experience managing a significant temporary workforce via staffing agencies.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle for permanent and temporary staff.
• Lead employee relations, investigations, and resolution in line with policies and laws.
• Administer performance management, coaching managers and employees; handle disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with compensation and benefits programs, salary benchmarking, and annual reviews.
• Develop and implement HR policies and compliance programs (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
• Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities for staff and managers.
• Manage temporary workforce relationships with staffing agencies and SLAs.
• Prepare HR reports, analyze data, and ensure HRIS data integrity.
