Job summary

HMH is seeking a Learning & Development Intern to support the design, delivery, and implementation of training programs. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define competencies, evaluate content providers, and structure content within our LMS.

The role requires enrollment in a Bachelor or Graduate degree in Human Resources or L&D, a minimum GPA of 3.0, and strong English communication skills. The internship runs 12 weeks in Houston, from May 24 to August 13, 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at the time internship commences and working toward a Bachelor or Graduate degree in HR or Learning & Development.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• General knowledge of human resources and related policies.
• General knowledge of learning and development principles and best practices.
• Commitment to high ethical standards and handling confidential information.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels including leadership/executive teams.
• Ability to work independently or within a larger team as required by the project.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with key stakeholders to define competencies and determine functional training requirements.
• Identifying training content providers and evaluating product offerings.
• Structuring training content programs to support employee development.
• Designing and delivering stakeholder communications related to competence and training program implementation.
• Implementing program content in the learning management system (LMS).
• Other projects as assigned.
