Job summary

Wyffels Hybrids in Geneseo, IL (and Davenport, IA) offers an HR internship for students pursuing Business/HR degrees. May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, full-time with occasional travel.

You will gain hands-on experience in Recruitment, Onboarding, Talent Development, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, and Engagement, while supporting HR operations and projects. Training content, payroll assistance, and HRIS data work are included.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook and Teams is desired.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
• Prior office experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment efforts, coordinate career fairs, filter incoming resumes, and assist in scheduling interviews.
• Prepare onboarding materials and assist with new employee orientation.
• Create, upload, organize training materials in the LMS.
• Monitor and report on employee progress and completion of training programs in the LMS.
• Assist with benefits administration including enrollment materials and invoice reconciliation.
• Respond to unemployment inquiries and assist with processing payroll.
• Create and manage HR communications and prepare department materials.
• Participate in HR initiatives and projects as needed.
