Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing is seeking an HR Intern to support the Human Resources department. You will participate in recruiting, onboarding, training, and HR project work while gaining practical experience.

This internship requires full-time availability during the summer, a strong GPA, and the ability to quickly learn new systems in a fast-paced team environment. You will contribute to events, HRIS maintenance, and various employee initiatives with guidance from the HR team.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field for entire duration of internship.
• Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) throughout the summer.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to learn new programs quickly in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize while working on numerous projects and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting activities for manufacturing and office positions, including pre-screening candidates and interviewing.
• Coordinate pre-employment activities such as background checks and drug screening.
• Assist with recruiting events, including coordinating and participating in job fairs and campus recruiting.
• Assist in company training such as New Employee Orientation and Harassment Prevention.
• Maintain confidential employee and applicant information in HRIS systems.
• Assist with employee events and various HR projects.
• Perform research for HR and Benefits related projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
