Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an HR Intern to gain hands-on experience across HR disciplines in a manufacturing environment at our Richmond, VA facility. You will assist in coordinating new hire orientations, onboarding, and employee communications, support recruiting tasks, maintain HR databases, and respond to staff inquiries while learning from HR leaders.

The internship offers exposure to process analysis, data entry, and ongoing projects, with mentorship and a final presentation on learnings

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or similar.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling information.
• Excellent attention to detail, prioritization, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating new hire orientations and onboarding activities.
• Support recruiting processes: posting positions, vetting applications, and organizing interviews.
• Update HR databases and maintain current employee files; input new employee information.
• Respond to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits and other HR-related matters.
• Assist with other tasks and projects assigned by the manager.
