Job summary

Hydro Extrusions North Liberty, IN seeks an HR & HSE Coordinator to support HR and Health, Safety & Environmental functions within a manufacturing facility. This role handles onboarding, employee records, compliance, training, incident investigations, and workforce engagement to maintain a safe, productive work environment.

You will manage HR/HSE documentation, safety inspections, and investigations while collaborating with shared services and plant functions.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Health and Safety, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of HR, Health & Safety manufacturing administration, preferably in unionized or manufacturing environments.
• English required; additional language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Foster collaborative culture where employees follow safety programs and policies.
• Provide HR/HSE administrative support, recordkeeping, onboarding, benefits, payroll coordination for union requirements.
• Collaborate with shared services and plant functions to provide a positive work environment.
• Maintain HR and HSE documentation for compliance with labor, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as first point of contact for HR policies, benefits, workplace concerns, and safety matters.
• Coordinate training programs including onboarding, HR policy training, safety training, and regulatory compliance training.
• Facilitate onboarding programs ensuring employees receive proper safety training and access to resources.
• Maintain records databases: safety records, training records, performance reviews, incident reports, payroll, attendance and compliance reports.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, Job Hazard Analyses, and workplace observations to identify risks and improvements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and workers compensation cases; determine root causes and track corrective actions.
• Organize and maintain labor relations documentation, ensuring alignment with CBA-mandated processes.
• Facilitate safety committee meetings and employee engagement initiatives.
• Generate HR and HSE metrics, reports, and trend analyses for management.
• Support continuous improvement projects related to workforce effectiveness, safety performance, and compliance.
