Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years experience in Human Resources.
• Hands-on experience in training and coaching.
• Understand safety practice guidelines.
• Strong MS Office skills including Word and Excel; PowerPoint useful; Peoplesoft experience preferred.
• Able to identify and resolve problems diplomatically.
• Able to review and interpret data, transactions, policies, and business practices.
• Effective communicator (verbal and written) with teammates at all levels.
• Able to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
• English reading/writing sufficient for job tasks including safety communications.

Responsibilities

• Assist and observe in various training programs to comply with training practices and laws.
• Facilitate mandatory harassment/substance abuse training, safety, and special classes for teammates.
• Maintain logo clothing, relocation billing, FMLA records, Workers' Compensation and safety investigations, documentation, reporting and evacuation plans.
• Coordinate special events with programs like CMN, United Way, Health Fair, teammate parties, etc.
• Support HR Manager as needed.
• Ensure employment process complies with legal guidelines and is fair and consistent.
• Manage requisitions and develop recruitment strategies with managers (ads, internet).
• Coordinate and attend career fairs; review applications and resumes; communicate status; check references.
• Advise supervisors on hiring/offer procedures; prep pre-employment paperwork and orientation; maintain Jobs Box.
• Promote teammate morale through open communication and policy interpretation.
• Coordinate teammate meetings; assist in New Hire Orientation; daily interaction with teammates and managers.
• Other duties may be assigned.
