Job summary

Paycom - ATS is hiring an HR Generalist/Assistant in Jurupa Valley, CA to support daily HR operations. This full-time, non-exempt role works with the HR Manager to handle recruiting support, onboarding, benefits and records management.

You will manage ATS data, assist with interviews and reference checks, help implement HR policies, and coordinate payroll-related tasks while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–4 years of experience in recruiting and/or HR generalist roles.
• Knowledge of full-cycle recruiting processes and HR best practices.
• Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Paycom HRIS/ATS experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
• Conduct initial candidate screenings and reference checks.
• Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure accurate documentation.
• Support onboarding process, including new hire paperwork and orientation coordination.
• Assist with day-to-day HR operations and employee relations matters.
• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support benefits administration, including enrollments and employee inquiries.
• Assist with performance management processes and documentation.
• Help implement HR policies, procedures, and programs.
• Provide administrative support to the HR Manager.
• Assist with payroll-related preparation tasks such as timekeeping audits and data entry.
• Maintain HR files, reports, and documentation in an organized and confidential manner.
• Support HR projects, audits, and compliance initiatives as needed.
• Travel to offsite locations on an as needed basis. Must maintain a current driver\'s license, proof of insurance, clean motor vehicle report and reliable transportation throughout employment
